This painting was inspired by by own photos and some quick sketches I took while wandering around Pt. Lobos on a fine January day. It's at the end of the trail at the north end of the park over looking Blue Fish Cove. I loved the light on the rock and the gulls in the sun and knew I had to turn my experience into a painting.
