Alaska Backcountry Adventure

Back in the day, 1980 or so, Frank, who was my flight instructor before he become my husband, and I took a 3 week trip to Alaska in our old Cessna 170, depicted here. We camped under the wing both on gravel strips and out in the wild beside rivers and lakes.  We encountered mosquitos, lots of rain, wonderful people, and didn't have a shower for 3 weeks. Without actual photos from that trip, this was painted from an old photo of that plane, scenery from my Alaskan kayaking adventures, and memory. Framed. Painting ID #447.
