My son planted sunflowers in his 'magic dirt', the soil that made Santa Clara Valley famous as 'The Valley of Heart's Delight' in the mid 1900s. Although it is now Silicon Valley and the farms are gone, the wonderful soil remains. His crop of various kinds of sunflowers in his back yard stretched in a joyous tangle from 5 to 15 feet tall and inspired me to paint their golden profusion. Painted on gallery wrapped canvas, the image continues on to the sides, so there is no necessity of a frame. With a wire, ready to hang and enjoy. Painting ID #325.
