It was a magical day in the Palo Alto Baylands. The grasses and flowers were blooming, the air was soft and hardly moving. But that's not usually the case. All summer long, the winds come up in the afternoon, gusting the trees and any bystander that walks the trails. Bowed and leaning, these trees tell of years of pounding.
