California Gold: Hills, Oaks, and Buckbrush

For many years, the golden hills of California served as range-land for cattle. Those places where the cattle don't graze are covered with long grasses that catch the light and shadow in wonderful colors. Can you smell the afternoon sun on the buckbrush and dry grasses?
